Elderly care
BetaMed Medical Active Care provides long-term, 24h and daily care for elderly people who are chronically ill or find it difficult to go about daily routines and activities or patients with reduced physical fitness. It is our priority to provide these patients with a home-like atmosphere.
We work to help them live independently and support their activation. While staying with us, our elderly patients are provided with care by nurses, carers and therapists, as well as with individual rehabilitation treatments.

Care & Treatment Programmes
BetaMed MAC’s Care & Treatment Programmes are specialist health programmes available in a number of options suited to the health and needs of our patients. Each patient is offered a custom-designed programme that involved comprehensive treatment, care, rehabilitation and psychotherapy services.

Short-term Care Programmes
BetaMed MAC’s short-term care programme are offered to patients after surgery and/or injuries. These programme can help such patients recover their general physical fitness, motor coordination and balance. BetaMed’s day care programmes respond to the needs of the families of elderly people, when they are unable to provide them with 24h care, for example because of career obligations.

Care and Therapy Unit
BetaMed’s Care and Therapy Unit is open to patients whose health status means they require 24h care and nursing, rehabilitation and continued therapy, but who do not have to be hospitalised. These services also include health education for patients and their families is also included, as is the preparation of the patients to look after themselves at home. The services offered by BetaMed’s Care and Therapy Unit are provided under a contract with the National Health Fund.

- With a diagnosis, and who do not require further hospitalisation, but who are not ready to live on their own at home due their health status

Long - term Nursing Care
This service involves care for patients who require regular nursing services due to their health status, but who do not need to be hospitalised. Nursing care at our patients' homes, provided in cooperation with the patients' GPs, allows us to provide treatment in a friendly setting familiar to patients.
This service is provided under a contract with the National Health Fund.
